After
I had boondocked at the Vancouver, WA Wal-mart while waiting for
mom's arrival, I was ready for a more scenic setting. We spent the
next two nights at Champoeg State Park near Wilsonville, Oregon.
Somehow I lost all the pics taken there, but thankfully not the
ones from one of our excursions from there.

This
fortuitous little accidental encounter with the Dahlias actually
started with our trying to get to Wilsonville for internet access
since I couldn't get my satellite to work through the trees at the
state park.

We
wound up lost in Canby instead, but couldn't be sorry about it when
we found out we were in the "Dahlia Capital of America!"
Mom and I are both flower nuts as well as tree huggers, so we stopped
for a walk around the grounds.

| On
the way home, we found a little farmer's market where we bought the
freshest corn, cabbage, green beans and cucumber we've ever had. We
both laughed about how it was one of the luckiest cases of getting
lost we'd ever experienced! |
