This
was taken when I was still staying on the spit. It's the first time
I saw the moon since in Alaska. It was taken right outside my house
at 11:00 at night - see how light it still is?! It really was a
glorious sight to see it pop up from behind the snow capped mountain
range in all its full-moon glory.

This
was taken when I was staying at Anchor Point. It's 11:30 and the
sun is setting behind Mt. Iliamna. Even after the sun sets, it still
doesn't get dark until about 2:00 a.m. Then it's light again at
about 4:00 a.m.

This
is a great bench where you can sit amid the wildflowers and watch
the water flow and the clouds move across Mt. Iliamna. It's located
in one of the state parks in Anchor Point and is only 20 miles from
downtown Homer.
