After
all that sensory input, we didn't feel like going any further, so
we spent the night in their parking lot with the best view we've
had so far.
I
parked lengthwise with the glacier filling my side windows and snow-covered
mountains with the most interesting peaks filling my front windows.
| Not
long after our tour it started clouding up, but the view was still
phenomenal. |
At
one point, rays of sunshine beamed through the clouds sending heavenly
spotlights down the snowy gorge upon these huge sparkling boulders
across the street. They shone like diamonds and we couldn't help
but feel personally blessed to be spectators of such a divine sight.
Then
we were witness to a concert put on by the clouds. A symphony of
fluffy white ones started at the top of the glacier and looked like
an avalanche spewing snow as it cascaded down into the valley.
Then
there was the baritone grey ominous ones that moved swiftly across
the middle range. The piece was completed by small wispy puffs that
floated upwards looking like spirit beings rising to the heavens.
| What
an incredible sight and what marvelous neighbors clouds and mountains
make! |
