Journaling

While researching what was along the way, I saw info on Liard Hotsprings and made it a "must-stop" - so glad I did!

The warm waters were the perfect soothing touch after a long day's drive. This is Alpha Pool, the lower of the two pools.
I loved the natural woodsy setting and the water temperature was just perfect on a still-crisp spring day. As I soaked away the road-wearies, I met some very nice people and we swapped travel tales.

This is Beta Pool. There's a nice trail that takes you to this upper pool, but I was warned that a bear attacked and killed two people here last year, so I was glad not to be alone and we made lots of noise getting up there.

A moose fell or jumped in last year, also, and could not get out and finally drowned. They had to get a dive team with lifting equipment to remove the carcass.

On the road refreshed: Watson Lake to Teslin Lake
