Whistler
is a ski resort town and although mostly comprised of shops and
restaurants supporting that market, the architecture of the buildings
and the layout which gives it a feel of a quaint olden village is
a perfect setting against the backdrop of some of the most beautiful
scenery I have ever seen. There was still quite a bit of snow on
the mountain and skiers on the runs enjoying what's left of the
season. The promise of springtime was sweeter and the warming temperature
more welcome to me. We ate outside watching the skiers return from
the slopes, one poor soul in crutches.
