Driving along the edge of beautiful and peaceful Lake Crescent took us into the Sol Duc Hot Springs where we soaked away our cares after getting used to the rather putrid sulphur smell of the natural springs. After leaving the lake scenery, we were greeted with more massive forest trails to drive through and I don't believe I could ever tire of the incredible trees that live in this area.
We had lunch at Lake Crescent Lodge. This was the view from our table.

Even though the weather was comfortably warm, the water retained its crisp coolness. It felt good to dip my feet for a little bit anyway.
I was looking at a crazy sounding bird flying by when Don took this picture.
