As
of today, the twins are having a bit of trouble digesting their mom's
pumped breast milk. Cadence has developed an infection and her little
tummy is a bit distended. They're both being treated for jaundice.
The docs are running tests, but I don't get the feeling there is any
cause for alarm. With them insisting on coming into the world two
months early, it's natural that some of their inner workings are not
fully developed and I believe all will be well.
The
link above will lead you to my Journey Journal entries since the
start of my fulltiming adventure in 2001.
Some
of these entries have pictures, but mostly it's me rambling about
what's going on in my mind at the moment and relate to the main
picture pages.
Here's
Cadence chilling out a couple of days ago while getting her jaundice
treatment. Isn't she just adorable???
Now
that Cailie is off of the ventilator, she can relax and enjoy a
good binky. How in the world this tiny mouth doesn't gag on the
huge nipple is a mystery to me.
Here's
papa Alex holding Cadence for the first time. I'm so thrilled that
he overcame his fears and has stepped up to the plate, truly wanting
to be a good dad to his little girls.
Caitlin
gazes at Cailie with such tender mother-love that it choked me up
to watch her with her babies. Despite her own tender age, I think
she's a natural!
